Coca-Cola and McDonald’s Kick Off the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ with Limited Edition Coca-Cola Contour Glass Series Bicycle Kick, Volley and Strike Your Way to Victory with 6 Different Colored Glasses Embossed with Official 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Football Figures SINGAPORE, Monday 31 May, 2010 -- The Coca-Cola Company and McDonald’s Corporation have teamed up to celebrate the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ with their customers throughout Asia Pacific with a limited edition Coca-Cola Contour Glass series. For a limited time, consumers will be able to collect 6 different colored glasses, embossed with official 2010 FIFA World Cup™ football figures. Each glass carries a different football pose showing a bicycle kick, header, kick, save, volley and strike. Once every 4 years, football fans everywhere come together to celebrate the world’s largest sporting event, the FIFA World Cup™. The tournament brings together the world’s finest football stars showcasing their skills to millions of fans worldwide on their way to lift the trophy. McDonald’s kicks off the promotion regionally in May, giving fans the opportunity to collect their limited edition 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Coca-Cola Contour Glasses in time for the tournament. This year’s promotion will cover 19 markets - Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Macau, Thailand, Pakistan, Indonesia and Pacific Island markets. In Singapore, the promotion will kick off on June 3rd, whilst stocks last. The glasses will be available in over 110 McDonald’s restaurants islandwide and via McDelivery 24/7. A different design will be made available each week. The glass is available free with every large Extra Value Meal (excluding breakfast).
